About
Built by a working auto tech.
TalkNDone is run by Brandon Nichols out of Cleburne, Texas. I spent two decades under cars before I wrote a line of code. This isn't a startup pitch. It's a shop guy's answer to a problem he got tired of watching kill small businesses.
The senior tech who retired
I watched a master tech retire and take 22 years of diagnostic knowledge with him. Nobody wrote it down. The shop limped for a year and a half rebuilding what was already in his head. Two of the callbacks were on cars he'd worked on himself — the new tech didn't know which symptoms meant "pull the trans pan" and which meant "recalibrate the TCM." That cost real money. It cost the customer's trust. And it was preventable — if anyone had had a tool that could turn an old tech's muttered monologue into an actual procedure.
Why the existing tools didn't work
Owner-operators don't sit at a keyboard for an hour writing manuals. They're between a job site and a kitchen, talking on the phone, in a truck. The Trainuals and Process Streets and SweetProcesses of the world are designed for ops managers at a desk. The actual people who carry the knowledge — line cooks, installers, the owner — they need to talkthe procedure out. Once. While they're doing it. And get a printable document back, today, that a new hire can follow on Monday.
That's what TalkNDone is. Voice or text in. Print-ready PDF out. $49 once. No subscription. No software to learn.
What I actually did
I'm not a software guy. I'm a shop guy who got desperate enough to learn. The stack matters less than the test: would the procedure I just generated, printed and handed to a brand-new tech, let them do the job without calling me eight times? If yes, the tool worked. If not, I tore it apart and rebuilt it.
The Trades Owner-Operator Pack (25 SOPs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, auto, and roofing) is the version I would have killed to have on day one of my own shop. The Restaurant Operator Kit is the same thing for fast-casual. Both were graded against industry references — Trainual's catalog, ClickUp's SOP library, ServiceTitan's operator templates — before they shipped.
What you can expect
Honest pricing. A working tool, not a marketing site. A 30-day money-back guarantee on everything. A real human (me) who answers the support email at hello@talkndone.com.
And if you're an owner-operator who has knowledge in your head that nobody else has — please write it down. Use TalkNDone. Use a legal pad. Use a voice memo. Just don't let your business be one quit notice away from losing the thing that made it work.
