How the scoring works
Five inputs. Four traits weighted by impact (actions 30%, reasons 25%, quality checks 20%, warnings 15%) plus voice quality (10%) as a guard against corporate-template phrasing. Voice gets a hard cap if it hits the AI-default openings ("in today's fast-paced business environment", "this document outlines", etc) — those phrases are why most generated SOPs get screenshot and ridiculed. One rubric, one format. This scoring grades narrative-style written SOPs with numbered steps. Visual checklists, video-augmented procedures, and photo-walk SOPs are all legitimate formats that will score badly here because they don't carry their information in prose. A 4.0 from this tool means "weak as a written narrative," not "bad SOP." If you run an operation on iPad checklists or short videos, this rubric isn't the right yardstick.
